Right now I am in the middle of a project that requires us to do portraits and use different lighting techniques. I was scrambling for an idea when I thought of my friends (who happen to be an adorable couple) Arthur and Nikki. I chose this so that I could get more practice with posing couples and give them some shots for their 6 month anniversary 🙂Â
The technique I applied in this situation is called Fill Flash, in which you put the main light source (the sun in this case) behind the subjects. Often times this makes the background clear and the subjects are in shadow. So in order to compensate you use the pop-up flash or a larger flash attachment.Â
They were both sooo great work with, they came to campus with just a couple hours notice and NAILED it. They weren’t shy and we all just had a lot of fun. Thank you both for helping!!Â
