You got engaged now the planning begins.
First you have to start figuring out what type of wedding you and your significant other will like to have. To start this process you need to think about the style of your wedding. is your wedding going to be held in the morning, the afternoon, or the evening? Is your ceremony going to be modern or traditional? Is the event going to be formal or casual?
Next you need to think about the setting of the day. Where do you imagine the ceremony taking place? Where do you imagine your reception taking place at? Do you want to get married in a church or mosque, outdoors, etc. Do you want your reception outside or indoors? When do you want your ceremony to take place? In the spring, summer, fall or winter?
Next you and your significant other and maybe some close family will need to figure out the size of the wedding. Do you want an extravagant wedding with hundreds of people in attendance or do you want a close and intimate wedding with only those closest to you.
Lastly, you will need to set a budget. Determine the amount you would want to stay around, the lowest you would like to spend, and the maximum you can spend if it comes down to it. This will help you when you start looking at vendors, price comparing, and shopping for your wedding and venue.
Now that you have come up with some basics and now have a better picture as to what you want to do you can start planning you wedding.
